This course on Cyber-Physical Control Systems addresses the control and decision making problems in cyber-physical system. The course will address model-based predictive control techniques, that can be used to optimize the closed-loop systems according to desired performance requirements, also enabling the definition of physical and operational constraints. Distributed predictive control architectures will also be addressed, considering the implications of controlling the system through a communication network, as well as analyzing and controlling hybrid or event-based systems.
