"Dear Colleague,

The Euromech Colloquium 511 “Biomechanics of Human Motion. New Frontiers of Multibody Techniques for Clinical Applications”, will be held in The Azores, Portugal, on March 9-12, 2011. On the official Colloquium website (www.dem.ist.utl.pt/euromech511) you can find all the necessary information regarding the event and download the official flyer with the description of the beautiful islands of The Azores archipelago located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

This e-mail serves to inform you that the deadline for the two-page abstracts submission is now December 15, 2010. Acceptance will be notified by January 7. The abstract template is provided at the Colloquium website.

The general scope of the Colloquium is to address scientific topics that contribute to a better mechanical and physiological knowledge, modeling and analysis of human motion, with special focus put on the following topics:

Biomechanical modeling.
Multibody formulations for biomechanics.
Finite element analysis in human motion.
Kinematic and kinetic data acquisition.
Optimization in biomechanics of human motion.
Musculoskeletal modeling.
Stability analysis.
Motor control.
Contact mechanics in biomechanics.
Human dynamics and rehabilitation.

With our best regards,
