2 nd International Conference on
"Foresight Studies on Work in the Knowledge Society"
This conference will be organised by IET, the Research Centre on Enterprise and Work Innovation, at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of "Universidade Nova de Lisboa" (FCT-UNL), on November 2008 with the support of the European project WORKS-Work Organisation Re-structuring in the Knowledge Society (financed by the European Commission, and co-ordinated by HIVA Leuven).

The main objective is to analyse and discuss research findings on the trends of work structures in the information and knowledge society, and to debate concepts on new work organisation models and forms supported by ICT.

A call for papers and registration procedure was placed in this webpage.

In order to sure a larger participation of experts in this conference we planed to postpone it for January 2009. The different possibilities to held it in November demonstrated some difficulties.
This change give also more time for reviewing some papers already sent, and also more opportunities for new paper proposals.
The topics will be the same, as the registration procedures.
The new date for a paper proposal will be postponed for 30 November 2008.
We maintain the possibility for the publication of the proceedings and some papers at the IET journal Enterprise and Work innovation Studies (issue 2008).

We have now a new confirmation for a date of this conference: will take place on the 26 and 27 January 2009. Will take place at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Faculty of Sciences and Technology, located in Monte de Caparica (southbound the Tejo river).
The topics will be the same, as the registration procedures (at http://moodle.fct.unl.pt/course/view.php?id=953).
The date for a paper proposal is 30 November 2008.
We maintain the possibility for the publication of the proceedings and some papers at the IET journal Enterprise and Work innovation Studies (No. 4, issue November 2008).
