MIUP, the Portuguese Universities Programming Marathon, takes place next Saturday at Instituto Superior Técnico, in Lisbon, for the Portuguese teams and on the Internet for all those interested. This is a nation wide competition used by the Portuguese universities to select their teams to SWERC. The official contest will run together with an open contest in which all can participate, via the Internet. I therefore invite you all SWERC contestants to join us next Saturday, October 20th, from 10:00 to 15:00 (Lisbon time, one hour earlier than Paris, Berlin, Rome, Bern, Vienna and Madrid).
The contest site is at http://acm.ist.utl.pt/miup07/, mostly in Portuguese, but some information about the open contest will be posted in English, soon. In any case, the contest server will eventually show up at http://acm.ist.utl.pt/~miup07/. Please stay tuned and come meet your SWERC colleagues and adversaries next Saturday.
